Health card needed to work at food 4 less

Health card needed to work at food 4 less?
I was wondering because I will not be handling food all the time. What I'm mostly going to be doing is pushing carts, cleaning spills on floors and moving items (which might include food sometimes) back where they're supposed to be at. So is a health card needed? Ohh, well thanks :) I guess I'll just have to get it, although i don't know why they have to charge so much!

peanut butter isnt rele healthy. peanuts r.. peanut butter is about 40 percent fat
2 :
Where the hell do you live? Order some online.
3 :
I'm partial to Jif reduced fat peanut butter. However, I discovered that the oil in peanut butter isn't really bad for you, in moderation. I am accustomed to the taste and texture of the reduced fat variety now, though, and regular seems too oily to me. Skippy and Peter Pan are both good, but I really prefer the flavor of Jif. You could try reduced fat or reduced sugar varieties. They will contain less fat or calories than regular.
4 :
walmart, where i live, carries Naturally More PNB. see site below for info. i personally prefer Smart Balance PNB which i buy at walmart too. both are reasonable healthy compared to Skippy and Jif excellent article on PNB below by a bodybuilder who stayed lean eating it

Vegetables and fruits...sun chips are a better alternative to chips like Utz but you still shouldn't eat too many. Celery is very good for you, and made WAY MORE DELICIOUS with ranch dressing.
2 :
fruit and nut bars
3 :
apples, oranges, bananas, carrots, celery, raisins, etc.
4 :
triscuits/carrots/celery/pita bread & hummus (skip the ranch....there's SO much better you could much than the processed oils and junk in dressings Fruit smoothie (frozen fruit, yogurt**, ice, milk**, etc) Grapes, berries, etc. Half a tomato, avocado sandwich toasted on wheat bread Yogurt** (or dip berries/apples in yogurt) Dried fruits-mix them in cereal or make a trail mix with nuts Nuts/soybeans--see above LOTS OF WATER Apples & Peanut butter Hard boiled egg cottage cheese and pineapple/peaches Favorite breakfast EVER: Instant oatmeal with lots of soy milk and craisins in it YUMMMMMM---OOOOO! Be very careful to keep hydrated, your body con misinterpret thirst as hunger. But healthy isn't just what you're eating, it's the quantity/portion too! I snack every two hours at work...every two-three days I carry in to work a large bag filled with pre--portioned snacks of all of the above, as well as things for lunch if I forget or don't get time to get out. Chunky Soup/Campbell's Soup, Ham Sandwich (no mayo, no cheese**) Don't forget to indulge once in a while! I sure as heck keep a bar of 780% dark chocolate in my drawer and I do indulge--but one square does me! Good luck, take it slow, you might slip and fall, but get up again and keep on going! PS--I say soy or lacotse free--I don't do dairy of any kind--it doesn't like my tummy.
5 :
How about Power Bars? Or cut up an apple and have it with peanut butter or cottage cheese? Or try Wheat Thins? Carrots with ranch?
6 :
carrot and carrot.
7 :
Ocen Spray Craisins. They are sweetened dried cranberries. It is fat free and is only 130 calories per serving. You can even add them to different foods!
8 :
celery and carrot sticks.... whole fruits.... granola...yogurt is always good...... I have a fixation on anything made with whole oat oatmeal. Sushi is good, too. Good Luck and Goddess Bless.
9 :
well i am on a steady diet of trying to eat healthy. So i would suggest your favorite flavor lite yogart and granola. If you dont like yogart try fat free cottage cheese. There's always salad, but i get sick of having that so i like to change things up. Theres many choices of fruits and vegetables as well. So try to mix things up a little bit, and it will be easier to eat healthy.
10 :
fruit, veg, crackers, nuts
11 :
IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU LIKE TO EAT.. THERE ARE MANY THINGS YOU CAN CALL SNACKS..FOR EXAMPLE: CRANBERRY & WALNUT TRAIL MIX ARE YUMMY AND FILLING..SOME FRIUT YOUGURT WITH SOME GRANOLA SPRINKLED ON TOP...PITA CHIPS WITH A VEGGIE DIP OR HUMMUS...OR VEGGIE CHIPS. TRY VISITNG A LOCAL NATURAL FOOD MARKET LIKE WHOLE FOODS AND JUS LOOK AROUND SEE WAT YOU CAN FIND..BE LIL ADVENTURUS;)...I'TS USUALLY A GOOD IDEA TO VISIT ON THE WEEKENDS B/C THEY HAVE LOTS OF SAMPLES TO TRY. In lab rats, yes. As a human you would have to consume such massive amounts that all you could do was eat 24 hours a day. Here's a link: http://www.healthyeatingadvisor.com/cancer-causing-ingredients.html Draw your own conclusions.
2 :
yes... there is so much info on this subject, and i recently read that they do know long term affects. there are plenty of books and research out there, and once you start investigating, you may never eat anything boxed, genetically altered, non organic and such. ever again! some foods and ingrediants in the u.s. aren't even legal in other countries. sorry.. i could go on and on

is it a health issue if your food passes through your digestive system too fast

is it a health issue if your food passes through your digestive system too fast?
i heard stress can cause this but lately - it seems that the food i eat literally goes in one end and out the other in a matter of 20 minutes or less. is that abnormal?

The medical term for the process you're asking about is called Gastric Motility if you want to research it. Hormones play a big part in the process. If what you describe is abnormal for you, then you may want to get checked out to make sure it's not an indication of a bigger problem (like hyperthyroid).
3 :
That is very normal. I on the other hand am not

Why is fast food not the same as restaurant food in terms of health

Why is fast food not the same as restaurant food in terms of health?
For those that don't eat fast food because it's unhealthy, do you eat at restaurants? If so, how is that food different from fast food? I'm not saying it isn't, I just want to know. If there is any food from a restaurant that would be just as bad as fast food, what factor decides if its too unhealthy to eat? (with fast food being the standard as too unhealthy to eat) Also, what makes food cooked at home healthier than fast food? What factors decide whether the food cooked at home is relatively healthy or unhealthy?

1 :
fast food is cooked in oils that are very bad for you. Some restauraunts use these oils but not as much. A proper restaraunt offers vegetables and healthier options...there is nothing at a fast food place that is low in fat. Food you make at home can be as bad but usually when you make something like fries at home you bake thm in the oven whereas McDonalds deep fries them in grease and oil.
2 :
Hardee's food is a lot better than my wife's.
3 :
If you read the nutritional values on many sit down restaurants menu items, they're really not any better than you get in a fast food one. Even if you read labels on some of your products at home, you might not be eating any healthier there either. Don't look only at fat and calories... check out the sodium content too! Even when you cook at home, if you're using processed foods (precooked or coming in a can, jar, bottle, etc.) chances are there is a lot of sodium in it. If you are cooking at home, your best bet is to do your grocery shopping around the outside edges of your grocery store (produce, fresh meats and fresh breads are usually located around the outside edges). Use minimal amounts of oil in your cooking, eat whole grains and lots of veggies, pay attention to your portion sizes and cut down on your salt.
4 :
To make food "fast" involves extra processing, and every process removes more nutrients and leaves more "empty" calories. Home cooking involves fresher materials, and is generally close to it's source. To answer your question completely would require a "Masters" dissertation on foods. A place to begin some research might be Eatingwell.com.
5 :
It's fast! They have no time for attention to detail or cleanliness, inexperienced high-school and college kids and the under paid work there.
6 :
i don't get it either. grilled chicken salad at mcdonalds is the same as grilled chicken salad at chez pompous azz but alot cheaper.
7 :
To answer your question about what makes food in restaurants unhealthy, the answer is that they tend to use a lot more fat and salt than people use to cook at home. Men's Health just did a story on this, and they say that a lot of restaurant food is as bad as fast food or worse: "Sit-down chains don't want you to know that their food is actually considerably worse for you than the often-maligned fast-food fare. In fact, our menu analysis of 24 national chains revealed that the average entree at a sit-down restaurant contains 867 calories, compared with 522 calories in the average fast-food entree. And that's before appetizers, sides, or desserts—selections that can easily double your total calorie intake." See the link below. And check out the 2900 calorie cheese fries at Outback - ouch!
8 :
It's not a matter of the quality so much as the type that you eat. Fast food usually consists of beef, bread, and oil soaked fries. If you order a burger and fries at a fancy restaurant, you'll get the same thing, but many of them will include a salad (healthy) glass of water (healthy) or other things. Sit-down restaurants also offer a more diverse menu that can get you away from the beef and carbohydrates and into something a little better for you. Home cooked food can be just as bad as restaurant food, but few people at home do all of the deep frying and other fat-infusing methods used in some restaurants. If you choose wisely, you can eat well at home or out

If you really dont wanna mess with it find someone who has a membership to a big box store you can go with (costco, sams club,) you can get a giant tray of chicken wings and all kinds of other stuff, ready to go, and not too expensive!
6 :
fruit spread vegetable tray assorted nuts crackers & cheeses relish tray shrimp cocktail
7 :
Chips and salsa Olives Celery, carrots, cauliflower and other veggies, with a ranch dip. Tortilla Rollups: Flour tortillas, smear cream cheese, chopped onions, black olives and green chilis perhaps a thin slice of ham. Roll up and slice into 1/2 inch thick sections. Arrange on a plate. I warn you, these go fast. A variety of pickles. Some high end cheeses and crackers. Sliced Asian pear-apples with cashew butter to dip them in. (you need to dip the slices of the pear-apple or other apple in cold water with a few teaspoons of lemon juice, to keep them from browning. Fresh grapes, cherries, strawberries. Devilled eggs, always a favorite. Now, you've made me hungry.
8 :
You could cook all kinds of stuff you can take and make a cheese ball, that is real quick and easy to make. You can get some little smokies or use hot dogs just cut them up. but you can take the little smokies and bake them with bacon around them bake till bacon is done place on a tray and put tooth picks in them and serve. or take them and put them in a slow cooker and add bbq sauce till nice and hot can be left in and people can get as they like and use tooth picks to eat. there are lots of things to try and do. I hope this helps. http://www.msbierman.com
9 :
You can get food from places. Buy fried chicken from the grocery store, get a 6ft sub from subway (or comparable place near you), chips & dip, cut up fruit, cheese, bread (serve bread with a spinach dip, rye bread is best). Mini pigs in a blanket, sliders (you can buy them frozen at most grocery stores.) pizza rolls, mini tacos or taquitos.
10 :
Try a Costco platter. It is actually good, semi-healthy, easy and cheap to get. You can also get crab legs and shrimp from your local seafood restaurant where they can steam and season it for you. If there is a Giant in your area they will do it too. It will be fun to be slightly messy but fun because it it cause for celebration. You get great nutrition from fish to it's a plus. It is a blessing for you and your bro so have this moment and have fun!
11 :
There are a lot of good ideas here already, but here's one more: wraps. Get some big whole wheat tortillas, thin-sliced cheese, lettuce, salad dressing, and tomatoes (and if you want, some pastrami or ham or turkey). Layer the goods (not too thick) on a tortilla, sprinkle on a little salad dressing, roll it up, and cut it into a couple of pieces; secure them with a toothpick.
12 :
Get a big pork shoulder and make carnitas. Many recipes on line, and simple to make. Then you can buy little corn tortillas and wrap the pork up and eat it. Delicious
