If you lived in a 3rd world country, if food and health care were next to impossable, would YOU?
become one of those illegal immigrants that you complain about? What if the other country wasn't as bad as that... you just had no freedom... Health care and food are plentiful, but you were ruled by your government's religion? What do you think motivates people to become illegal immigrants in the United States?

I would
2 :
I would come to the US because you can make lots of dollars, and send it back home. However, the way the dollar's going I think I would go to Europe and make Euros! Plus, it's a lot easier to get there legally, although harder to get jobs.
3 :
Your right I do not blame them but they still broke the law? If I was hungry and broke into your home to steal would you not defend your home and family?
4 :
Are you trying to justify illegal immigration as being o.k.??? Illegal is illegal. I would try to legally move elsewhere, and as said, work on fixing things.
5 :
$$$$ That's what motivates most Americans as well as those that flock to our country. Oh sure.. plenty claim they do what they do (job wise) because they love it... but better than half most likely wouldn't do it if it didn't pay enough to live comfortably on.. no matter how much they "loved their job"
6 :
I probably would, but that doesn't mean that the country I leave for HAS to accept me.
7 :
I would do what I deemed necessary to stay alive. Crossing a border may be an option, depends on the consequences. If we can make those consequences bad enough, it will stop.
8 :
I don't care, I just want them gone.
9 :
Food and health care are next to impossible for me right now.
10 :
What you're getting at is right but that doesn't cancel out our side of the problem, does it? Yes, if faced with the same situation as a lot of these people (illegal aliens), most Americans would do the same thing, (migrate illegally to a better place) JUST AS most of these illegals would feel the same way we do about illegals sneaking into THEIR country and the effect it would have on their society if they were in our situation.

I can't say what I'd do, but it's irrelevant because of the 6.5 Billion on the planet it's not possible to sustain ANY quality of life if the ones in crap countries descend en masse on the few decent countries. Given that we've tried the government aid route and it's bogus, we should stop ALL government-to-government aid and build up our own society. Let private charity, which is ALWAYS superior, continue to do what they do which actually WORKS. Freeing up the tax dollars flushed into the toilet of tyranny would allow Americans (and others) to provide funds to the SENSIBLE aid programs. See things like what Free The Children (no NOT Save the Children) does: http://www.freethechildren.com/index.php Note that organization was founded by a 12-year-old and some of his teen friends and has done more in the approximate decade they've existed than many an "adult" charity has done. It's also time for people to do what Americans had to do to become a free people: fight for their rights. They need to try to develop themselves--there are many out there willing to help--and if it comes to it, fight. Ruining the few decent countries just makes us ALL miserable and is NO solution. Legal immigrants are welcome. Illegals are not all "innocent" and looking to survive--a significant portion of them commit crimes here and really jack up prison and jail counts for rape, robbery, murder, drug dealing, human trafficking, and more

If i went to my local health food store how much should it cost me to buy a dozen vanilla pods?

Im sorry to say that vanilla bean pods are VERY expensive. They run anywhere from 8-10 dollars each. But I live in California. Everything is expensive here.
2 :
We just can't tell you an exact price. There's too many variables in your question! It depends on where you are, where they were grown, how they were grown, the grade of the pods and whether they have them in bulk or packaged. The price for a dozen really cheapie pods would start somewhere around $50 US and could easily exceed $500 for top rate individually packaged pods!
3 :
under 15.00 dollars
4 :
I don't know exactly but vanilla beans have gotten very expensive lately. In a few years they will probaby come back down. Right now its riddiculous

The left seems to want free housing, food, and health care at the expense of freedom

Wouldn't prison supply them with all of that? Its the ultimate nanny state.

Good plan....I'd much rather fund them this way.
2 :
They don't take the time to think that when they are told what to do and have everything furnished for them that they are slaves.
3 :
That is how ignorant they are. All of those things are not free. They come with cost greater than money.
4 :
You radicals never cease to amuse and amaze me with your absurd notions: The fact that some people desire to have all citizens healthy and are willing to help pay for their medical does not mean we want it to be free! We all pay; by sharing the costs under a universal program we lower the costs for everyone and in the process we also make sick people well so they too can work and cease being a burden to us through welfare programs etc. The nonsense you guys believe from Insurance company propaganda makes me wonder if you have a mind with which to think?
5 :
Wrong. Are conservatives really starting to buy their own hype? Do you guys really think that the comic-book version of liberals you pretend to believe in is actually true? That's hysterical. Thanks for playing!
6 :
You're right. You can't have freedom with out personal responsibility. If the government provides us with all our needs, we're slaves. Democrats donĂ¢€™t believe in freedom because they donĂ¢€™t have the backbone to be responsible for themselves

What are some good, cheap food additions that provide a multitude of health benefits

What are some good, cheap food additions that provide a multitude of health benefits?
The more I study, the more I find small things that are cheap and exceptionally healthy and that many people would greatly benefit by if they had regularly. Most of these aren't too well-known, but I'd love to add some more healthy foods to my diet. Garlic is a well-known example of what I'm thinking of. It's loaded with health benefits and plenty cheap.

Will Americans give up fast food with the Health Tax

Will Americans give up fast food with the Health Tax?
The tax must be added to fast food, junk food, soda and beer. Americans have to cook for themselves like they did in the 1950's and 1960's. No more of this cheap, aorta clogging McDonald's crap and the like.

I doubt that Americans are going to allow themselves to be taxed into servitude to governments. The second American revolution has already begun!
2 :
Did Americans give up smoking when the taxes hit $5/pack? No. Did Americans give up driving when gas hit $4/gallon? No. The Tax simply reduces the behavior but doesn't stop it. Then the revenue drops from the taxes and the politicians bemoan the 'loss of revenue' and look for another behavior to tax. I think that the idea of taxing people who make choices you don't like is a form of tyranny, and betrays a hubris that the 'knowledgeable' ones know best..i.e. a ruling class. They feel entitled to tell everyone else how to live, but do not submit to the rules themselves. THAT is a form of tyranny.
3 :
Will Americans give up fast food? Only if they become so poor they can not afford it

Is peanut butter a junk food or a health food

Is peanut butter a junk food or a health food?

Diet & Fitness - 12 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Health because the fat in it is good and it has a lot of protein.
2 :
I think it depends on what each one has in it for example you can make Organic peanut butter in Whole foods :)
3 :
good source of protein. healthy food!!! but in case you are allergic,it may cause pimple yay.. good day.
4 :
It has healthy oils in it but like anything else it should be done in moderation and part of a well balance diet.
5 :
"Healthy" is only relative to what your body needs. peanut butter has a lot of fat in it, monosaturated and poly saturated fats commonly found in nuts and are considerd to be "healthy fats" and poly saturated fats have been -linked- to weight loss, peanut butter also has a high amount of protein. so it being healthy depends completly on weather your body neeeds more protein and fat, because to much protein can be bad on your kidneys. i hope this helps -Ben
6 :
I think it's a health food, but too much of it is bad! If your on a diet, you should have peanut butter 2x a week, to stay healthy :]
7 :
peanut butter.. one of my personal favorites. it is good.. packed with proteins! just too much of it is bad for you. well, if you eat too much of anything it is bad for you. the typical serving size is 2 tablespoons, and one serving size usually has 170-220 calories, depending on the brand.
8 :
if you buy the all natural kind, then technically it is healthy. but since it is so high in calories, i eat it as a treat, but i know that my healthy wont suffer from this treat, as it would if i would indulge in cake or pie. good luck(:
9 :
If you're having "natural" nut butter's it's a health food, if you're consuming the "creamy/ reduced/ regular and etc .." nut butter's than there unhealthier cu'z they have added sugar's (ie: fructose), salt's, etc .. So try "natural" peanut butter/ natural nut butter's. Best of luck! Stick to only a serving per day ~ 2TBSP (size of golf ball)
10 :
That is a very good question! Peanut butter can be very bad for you if you eat the Skippy or Jiff kind- which is high in sugar (high fructose corn syrup) and has tons of partially hydrogenated oils (which is so bad for you and your insides). But at the same time it does have protein in it, so if your going to eat it- eating this kind is okay once and a while- but I wound't eat it more than once a week. If your going to have a "treat" food you might as well make it something like ice cream or cookies. However, the natural kind of peanut butter that is just peanuts and salt is extremely, extremely good for you!! It is high in protein, all healthy fats, and has about 3 grams of fiber per serving. It is very good for you- a great way to get protein and healthy fats. It is good on apples, banana, celery sticks, carrot sticks (yes, amazing on them too!), fat free crackers, whole grain bread- and adding jelly is fine too. Jelly is okay even though it does have sugar it is a "healthy" treat. I know this is a detailed answer, I hope this helps!!
11 :
i heard its actually healthy
12 :
It is a great health food as part of a healthy nutrition plan. The word "diet" has so many negative connotations associated with it that I don't use it anymore. Peanut butter is a great source of protein and healthy saturated fats. With the right nutrition plan and exercise it can actually help you burn calories! But if you are living a sedentary lifestyle without eating the right foods, it can become a fat builder. Unfortunately our bodies do not choose between good and bad foods and any caloric intake in excess of what we burn each day pretty much converts to fat. Cheers
