Does Whole Foods hire fat people, since it's a health food store

Does Whole Foods hire fat people, since it's a health food store?
I'm vegan and I applied at Whole Foods because I love their products and I think they're a good company to work for. I'm afraid they won't hire me because I'm fat, though. Anyone who works for Whole Foods know if this is true?

a lot of my friends work at whole foods. some of them are fat. if whole foods didn't hire fat people you could sue them for discrimination.
2 :
i dont work there but, if they wont hire you because you are "fat then thats not right. they can get in serious trouble for that, people that work at the gym are big. if they dont hire you then sew them, fight for your rights, or find a diferent Whole food store that will. if they wont hire you. its not the store, its just the manager.

I love Whole Foods..Im there too much. Anyways I see people of all shapes, sizes and ages working there. They are a great company to work for. Yes they would hire you, its against the law to not hire someone because they are fat

I know that Whole Foods Markets sell them, although not knowing what major city you live near, I don't know how close one is to you. Trader Joe's Market also sells them. Good luck finding the noodles.

and offered a choice of either no public support or close supervision if public support is continued
2 :
no...it'd wind up costing more money in the long run...p-tests and rehab cost money and you just know they'd get rehab or an SSI...and if you took their benefits away they'd turn to stealing to support their habits...and you'd still have to support their kids
3 :
Absolutely.
4 :
absolutely yes. i also think food stamps should be in the form of the WIC program. the WIC program defines the appropriate foods and amount of the appropriate foods per person it covers in a month. EXAMPLE: X number of gallons of milk; X number of boxes of approved cereal; X number of cartons of eggs... etc...
5 :
should be mandated even if it doesn't pass
6 :
yes...and... produce certified copies of birth certificates and or immigration papers a tax Id # . NO stamps (or other state/Fed subsidized services) until the STATE issuing the Food Stamps has received a response from ALL states, territories and agencies that tracks(taxes) Americans living abroad. Too many dead people receive stuff and vote. Did you know that there is NO electronic data base for birth death records?? (states 4 yrs have gotten Fed $ to convert their records but legislatures tend to redirect the funds ) ....So John Q dies in TX..gets a death certificate from TX..but he was born in OH -->Texas does NOT notify OH ...Since OH still thinks John Q is alive , any "request for the birth certificate is just a small fee. Mike dies -his spouse fails to notify who ever is sending his retirement/pension/benefit check... ...ID theft is bug business..many victims only find out when they get billed, or told that they have maxed out on their health caps..etc Food stamps were originally designed to be a temp help for those struggling to find employment . Over the years it has morphed into a program that is easily manipulated.( work a few weeks/stop showing up get "fired" apply for workman's comp, food stamps ..etc I dont think people especially kids should go hungry but the system needs to be cleaned up !

WORKS FOR ME !!!!!!!! THAT WAS THE PROBLEM IN SAN FRANCISCO...... THE JUNKIES WERE USING THEIR WELFARE MONEY UP THEIR NOSE WITHIN 24 HOURS AND DOING IT IN THE OPEN...... CAN YOU IMAGINE HAVING HUMAN FECES AND URINE ALL OVER YOUR FRONT DOOR AND FINDING SOMEONE SLEEPING THERE ???? NOW THEY GET THEIR WELFARE IN THE FORM OF HOUSING, DRUG AND COUNSELING...... IF NOT.......NOTHING....... THAT IS THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK

You won't be able to do much, unless maybe you get a job teaching Food & Nutrition in some grammar school somewhere

Some chinese food contains MSG (monosodium glutinate) which isnt really good for you. So, check your lables!
2 :
some have msg in it and it get's you adicted to it.....so if it contains msg then it is bad...so be care full enjoy ur food
3 :
If it is chinese food that wasnt made in china its usually not authentic or healthy! =\
4 :
unfortunely yes. take awayz are bad in general, so it maybe be an idea to try and make your own, or swap fried for boiled rice and veg dishes instead of chicken
5 :
Check out if they put MSG in it. The Chinese seem to well on it. Learn who to cook your own.
6 :
I don't believe there are any "bad" food, there are only bad life styles. Most Chinese are skinny, because they eat lean, and they don't drive cars. they use bikes. Chinese can gain some weight when they start driving. or eat food has lots of fat/oil. real Chinese food shouldn't have lots of oil/grease. go to 24 hours often, you can eat whatever you want. MSG is a nature element, just like sugar and salt. you can find MSG in lots of food, sea weed, tomatoes,......
7 :
Well, some of it contains MSG
8 :
its becuase u r eating the fried stuff if u just ate the chinese vegetables and white rice it would be better
9 :
It would be unhealthy with or without msg. It depends on what you eat. Something healthy that i can think of is steamed fish. Try that instead of fried food.
10 :
Food that comes from Chinese takeaways is bad for you if it is deep-fried, smothered in sauces, or prepared with too much salt. You can eat Chinese food three times a week and still be healthy, if you just stick to a few guidelines: -don't order anything deep-fried (too much fat) -avoid fried rice (it's day-old rice that's been re-cooked in chicken fat and soy sauce--not good for you) -don't order duck or those disgusting yellow noodles (both are oily beyond belief) -if brown rice is on the menu, choose that over white rice (more fiber and fewer calories) -order vegetarian dishes over meat dishes (even if they're both cooked in oil, tofu has a lot less calories than beef and chicken) -if steamed vegetables are offered, eat those (lots of vitamins and very few calories) -try the soups (most Chinese soups are delicious and fairly low in calories) And don't listen to the people who say that MSG is bad for you. If you have very high blood pressure, then you shouldn't eat a lot of salt, and that includes MSG. If you don't, there's no harm in eating MSG (some people claim to get headaches after eating it, but no studies actually show that there is a link between the two). So, you can enjoy your Chinese food, but don't overdo it, lol.
11 :
They cook alot of vergetables, but it depends what you eat, as to how healthy it is for you.
12 :
I love that food to cant get enough of it........lol
13 :
no. or why more than 1 billion chinese live in the world??
14 :
It's just a matter of making better choices: steamed plain rice over fried rice, more tofu & veggies over meats, more steamed & boiled dishes over deep-fried stuff etc. The chicken pieces in many American-Chinese chicken dishes are deep-fried first and then heavy sauces (with lots of salt & sugar) are added, very unhealthy. The best thing is to learn to cook your own Chinese food from authentic recipes, so you can control the amount of salt, sugar & oil used. For those people who tend to put on weight, often it's not just due to eating a particular type of food but their entire food intake is in question. Common culprits are love of junk food & fast food, pampering a sweet tooth, lots of unhealthy snacks between meals, lots of carbonated sweet drinks instead of water, love of deep-fried stuff, too much meat & saturated fats, avoidance of fruits & veggies, eating way too much and little to no exercise.
15 :
Chinese food in China is very healthy, but the things they call Chinese in America tend to be salty, greasy, and deep-fried. So yes, it's pretty bad for you. Try sticking to stir-fries and things with lots of vegetables. Seafood is fine, but avoid pork. Brown steamed rice is better than fried.
16 :
chinese food in general is not bad for your health. If you eat homemade one's without all that msg it's actually healthy in my opinion. Try to eat the food with more portions of veggies and greens instead of more meat. It'll balance out. Too much of any food is bad.
17 :
Not necessarily -- there are so many different styles and subcategories of Chinese food. However, fried rice noodles or chili chicken are definitely bad for your health. Stay away from greasy and spicy food. Chinese or otherwise, they're just unhealthy in general
