Is there a health food bar that really can replace a meal? If so, which ones

Is there a health food bar that really can replace a meal? If so, which ones?
I found one called Organic Food Bar ... anyone know anything about this? Educated answers greatly appreciated. This question is directed to those who have answers as opposed to those who don't know anything about them or who don't approve of using them... I'm asking for a reason... answer this question if you have something valuable to contribute pertaining to the question itself.

I actually loose weight when I cook my own food. I also feel better about where my ingredients come from. You should do the same. I don't support eating those bars. They just don't feel the same to me

Is it ok to take digestive enzymes(like from the health food store) when on humalog

Is it ok to take digestive enzymes(like from the health food store) when on humalog?
my son was diagnosed type 1 diabetes he is 16.his grandmother would like to put him on digestive enzymes from the health food store. will it react with the humalog insulin in any way?

It shouldn't because the digestive enzymes work in the gut, not the bloodstream like the insulin. Still, you have to know that no one has done studies on this combination. Be more mindful than usual in monitoring blood sugar levels if you try this combination.
2 :
Unless there is something that you are not telling me so-called 'digestive enzymes' will be of no benefit. They also will have no effect on Humalog or any other insulin. They are probably harmless but products sold through health food stores are not required to meet any government standards for purity or potency. They are not even required to have an active ingredient. This means that the package may say 'digestive enzymes' but there may be no digestive enzymes in the pill. If your grandmother believes that your son should be on digestive enzymes I would prefer that these are prescribed by your physician. At least that way you will know what your son is actually taking. If I may be of further assistance please let me know. I wish you and your family the very best of health and in all things may God bless

Tea tree oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, but you can't ingest it if that's what you're looking for. Never heard of anything you can ingest that has antibacterial properties. What are you trying to treat?
2 :
Garlic is a natural antibiotic.
3 :
Colloidal silver from http://genesistoday.com
4 :
Garlic is a really good natural antibiotic. I have tried fresh garlic and odorless garlic tablets, and only the fresh garlic worked for me. You have to eat a ton of it (I was eating 3-4 cloves 3x per day), and you'll reek like garlic for a while, but it could be effective. Also for sinus problems, neti can provide a lot of relief. However, if you've already taken antibiotics, chances are the bacteria left in your system is really strong, so unfortunately you may need something stronger. If this has been a persistent issue, I'd try to see a naturalist doctor, or at least a chat with the person at the health food store.

This is a classic example of modern pill pushing doctors. Antibiotics WILL NOT help sinus problems. Antibiotics have their place. But not in 1/10th the places the doctors like to push them No wounder drug companies are making sales in the trillion $ range. The Mayo clinic did a study in the late 90s and found that 95% of all sinus infections are fungle related which can't be helped by antibotics. Effective treatment for sinus is : Garlic as stated. Oregano, Oregonal P73, olive leaf extract. Colidal silver. All can be found in health stores.

Ditto everything everyone else said except for the first poster. In addition, be careful and respectful with colloidal silver, as there have been reports of adverse effects, usually in people who haven't bothered to read the directions or do any research and have completely over-used this preparation. First thing is tea tree oil can INDEED be ingested. It can be used a mouthwash, gargle and tooth brushing preparation. No, one should not use a lot of it, but the one or two drops at a time orally is perfectly fine. It is, in fact, good for you, your oral health, and your gums, teeth and breath. It can also be used in the ears, as can eucalyptus, thyme, oregano oils, and many, many others. Take a look at the ingredients in Wally's Ear Oil, if you're a skeptic. As far as other natural antibiotics are concerned, you would research the following: Propolis, myrrh oil and tincture, echinaecea, goldenseal, astragalus, schizandra, usnea. There are many, many others including maiitake, enoki, shiitake and reishi mushrooms. I recently had a cold that went to my ears and blocked them up. I literally could not hear out of the right ear. I used echinaecea and goldenseal tincture several times/day, Wally's Ear Oil and Ear Candles, slippery elm bark to help my body get rid of mucous, Vicks Vapo-rub and Badger Chest Rub, and drank Ginseng/Royal Jelly--a couple of ampules per day. I seem to be through it now, pretty much completely. It did take about 2 weeks, but I am so much better now. I also eliminated almost all mucous-forming foods out of my diet, like dairy (which I am extremely sensitive/allergic to) and eggs and wheat/white flour. I've also been drinking lots of teas and juices and eating lots of soups (homemade with garlic and herbs) and lots of fruits and veggies. I feel much better now. I hope you soon will, too.

That's a hard questions to answer, because it depends on what part of the country you live in. It also depends on if you are married or single and have kids or not
