Fast foods usually have high content of animal fat and sugars. So you will tend to gain weight if you eat too much of this sort of food.

But eating too much fat often means you're also eating too many calories resulting you being over weight (fat is one of the most concentrated sources of calories you'll find). A diet high in saturated fats also leads to heart disease and high cholesterol, and again obesity. Another concern about fast foods is the sodium content. Too much sodium is not good for you and can raise your blood pressure significantly. High blood pressure causes heart strain, and it causes you to retain water. Fast food is not nutritionally diverse either. A typical fast food "meal" of fries and a burger offer a serving of meat and 4 or more servings of starches (bun and fries). A slice of tomato on the burger hardly counts as getting vegetables, nor is the slice of cheese a full serving of dairy? To get a nutritionally balanced meal vegetables should a main portion of the meal - at dinner they recommend that fully half of your plate is vegetables (not potatoes though - they behave more like grains/starches than veggies). Eating too much fast food means you're robbing your body of a whole plethora of vitamins and minerals necessary to keep your body functioning. And on top of all of that, there's just a ton of calories. A big mac, large fries and large coke at McDonalds adds up to about 1410 calories. A healthy person needs only 2000 calories a day!

If health care "should be a right" what about food ?
I realize neither is a right in the Declaration of Independence but food is much more a vital necessity than health care. Not just food but quality food just like the rich people buy at Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Cars and cell phones should be rights also. Actually we should just live here and make babies and have the federal government provide us with all of our necessities.

Already got that covered, heard of food stamp program. You can get a free phone, but you can only call 911 with it. Cars are still considered luxury items like diamond ear rings.

From the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." I think it could be reasonably argued that food and health care would fall under "Life" as mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. And I would argue that the federal food stamp program and Medicaid back up that idea by providing food and health care to the poorest members of our society.

The main problem is not the lack of government funding in US healthcare but the high cost of it. It is basically 5 times more expensive than Australia (and presumably most other countries). That's a tremendous drain on people's finances and it has to be paid somehow, whether it be through taxes or people paying themselves the ultimate cost is the same. In the US if a person is born with a disease/problem that cost $1 million to cure and the parents can't afford it then the child dies but in other countries the government pays and the child lives. It isn't fair that doctors get super rich while everyone else suffers

um, sage, salvia, blue lotus k9 is a synthetic marijuana that you can get at head shops and it is legal.

at a health food store nothing would get you high, but here are few mildly altering herbs seen at health food stores. gotu kola valerian kava kratom (very unlikely to be at a health food store, but possibly) california poppy passion flower ginseng lemon balm hibiscus skullcap chamomile hops wild oats mugwort kola nuts (doubtful to be at a health store) licorice lavender EDIT: you are not gonna find blue lotus or salvia at a health food store. and you will only find like two of the herbs on my list if you go to gnc.

I can only help with one....My dad was in the military and when they wanted to get high but there jobs would be risked if they got a pee test they used the poppy seeds from the MRE's. I know that you can get poppy seed in either a pill at a GNC or the actual seed in almost any local grocery store. Hope i helped! =)

And the minority of people (i think it should be scientists who really move our civilization forward and businessmen workaholics) work harder and at the same time getting more money than other people. What do you think? By doing this many problems could be solved - unemployment, poverty, crime. Imacircu, no in this case nothing is free for you. That is why you will have to work stung4ev, because now there is 1 person that does a job that could be done by 10 people. In my theory lets those 10 do the job thus making it easier for all of them to do the job. My point is to let all people to share their work. No one will work hard and all have themost important things - food, housing, free health care, education. If you want more than this no problem work more and get more if you like. Thus combine communist and capitalist systems in one creating competition between the two. people are not lazy they just have different abilities and desires in their lives rukiddin, Cuba is a bad example. Because: 1. The ebmargo since 1962 has destroyed Cuban economy 2.The cuban system is not perfect and should be change too.

Why should someone who slacks off be paid the same as someone who busts their ***? personally id all for paying 50% tax and having free health care and free education. you make 20,000/year then you pay 10k in taxes you make 2,000,000/year you pay 1.0m in taxes still have rich, still have poor, but medical and education are covered

It's a nice idea if people were all equal. Unfortunately, some people are LAZY, so no work would be done by those people, and the other normal workers would work twice as hard, to get paid the same money. Everyone should be compensated based on their work and what they've accomplished.
