It's been here all along. They're called VEGETABLES AND FRUITS.
2 :
no
3 :
There is an abundance of grains, fruits, vegetables, milk, meat and fish products. The problem is the politics of distribution and poverty.
4 :
Monoculture food is cheaper to buy in the grocery store, but more expensive to produce. Monoculture often uses triple the water that is needed, yearly synthetic fertilizer, and yearly pesticide, nematocide, fungicide applications. These aren't paid for by the customer, but by the government. So, our taxes are paying for most of the cost of a head of non-organic lettuce. Additionally, monoculture usually has to travel an average of 3 times further than organic food, so we have to consider transportation subsidies, oil wars, and road maintenance. The pesticides destroy ecosystems, but it turns out that the fertilizer is even worse, causing huge dead zones in bodies of water, where, economically, all fishing dies out. In short, health food (organic) is much much less expensive to produce than what we've grown to accept us 'regular' over the last half century. It just costs more at the grocery store because of the way we let business work. I didn't even mention the difference between vegetarian and animal meat. Last I heard it was something like 600 lbs. of grass to get one pound of beef. Sure we can't eat grass, but we could be growing wheat or beans

Has anyone tried a new health food called Acai

Has anyone tried a new health food called Acai?
The acai berry has become hot news and it's all over the internet. It's supposed to be very good when trying to lose weight. That and more. Or, is it the old snake oil panacea? Please, if anyone out there has tried the berry I'd like to hear your impression. Thank you, Mike

Do not take Acai thinking your going to loose weight. It will not help with that. What it has been scientically proven to do is provide enough antioxidants to help fight off cancers and other illnesses. Cancer has gone up 400% in the past 100 years, why? becouse we dont eat enough fruits to give our body the antioxidants it needs to fight off these diseases. With 15 times the antioxidants of grapes and twice the antioxidants of blueberries, the Brazilian Acai berry (AH-sci-EE) is considered to have the best nutritional value of any fruit on earth. With the symmetry of a grape and the size of a giant blueberry, the Acai fruit tastes a bit like wild raspberry with a hint of grape. Most people have trouble putting their finger on the taste because it's so different. The Acai Berry is a dense source of a particular class of flavonoids called anthocyanins. Acai Berry's ORAC value (a measure of its antioxidant properties), is higher than any other edible berry on the planet. The Acai Palm is a tall slender South American (concentrated in Brazil, Guyana, Suriname) palm grown for its fruit as well as for the "cabbage" (the cluster of new leaves more commonly called the "heart of palm"). It prefers swampy areas, and grows quickly. The fronds were (and still are) used for thatching and weaving. Each Acai palm tree produces small deep purple, almost black, fruit (berries) in groups of 3-8 per bunch. The fruit is edible, and its pulp is used in wines, liqueurs, as flavoring, as colorant, and on its own as a juice.

the acai berry is loaded with antioxidants. it will "help" to lose weight, but it does better to detoxify your blood. i found a free trial that i requested and liked it. i really love the taste of the juice though. link to the free trial is below

Is Genetically Modified Food good for your health

Is Genetically Modified Food good for your health?
My teachers say that Genetically modified (GM) food causes cancer and causes allergies. They also tell me that they destroy the environment, so they causes respiratory health problem. Is it true?

1 :
yes it is its stupid that we even have to modified are food what was wrong with it in the first place but yes they do cause lots of body problems my friend is a nurse and she told me about this
2 :
It is not as healthy as heirloom types of food-a good bit of nutrional value is lost just to grow it faster+ bigger. More profit for them = less value for you. That's 1 reason why kids are less healthy than they were 75 yrs ago
3 :
Genetically modified food is a big question mark. The technology for it has only been around for a couple decades - to see the lasting effect of a new technology or a new food takes years, generations, or even centuries. Here are some of the concerns that people have expressed about genetically modified food: They contain novel proteins - i.e. proteins that have never existed in any living thing. Most allergies are reactions to a particular protein, so when we create new ones, we may be opening the path to new allergies, both from the food we eat and the pollen spread by the plants we grow. The majority of genetically modified foods are "Roundup-ready" crops. "Roundup ready" plants can survive being sprayed with the weed-killer Roundup so more of it can be used. The company Monsanto makes Roundup and also produces Roundup Ready varieties of food crops. Roundup is an organophosphate pesticide just like lice shampoo and Phosmet, the insecticide used on cows in the UK to kill a parasitic insect called warble fly. Organic beef farmer Mark Purdey discovered that his cows who had not been treated with Phosmet were immune to Mad Cow disease, while a herd of cows that he bought, which had aleady been treated, did get the disease. People who live and work in rural areas are likely to have respiratory problems and miscellaneous health problems, not so much because of pollen but because of the pesticides being sprayed from airplanes. This isn't a direct result of growing genetically modified plants, but there is a strong link. There are also economic concerns about genetically modified crops. Canadian canola farmer Percy Schmeister discovered that some of his plants did not die when he sprayed Roundup around some utility poles. He learned that pollen had drifted over from a nearby Monsanto field, causing Roundup Ready plants to grow on his own farm. When he complained to Monsanto, they sued him for theft of their intellectual property. A few African countries have demanded that GM grain shipped to them as aid must be milled first, to prevent the seeds growing and making them economically dependent on Monsanto and other companies, just like Percy Schmeister. This leads to the greatest concern about genetically modified food. Once it is out in the world, it tends to spread. There may be a day when no living thing on Earth does not have genes from a genetically modified organism. Maybe that won't make a difference, but we just don't know. Some people think it is too dangerous to take the chance

I MOSTLY ORDER SHRIMP FRIED RICE & AN EGG~ROLL OR TWO ... Soy sauce is just to0 salty .!!! So if or when I might add s0Me !?! it might not be alot _!?!_r'`R`'r
2 :
i have chicken fried rice. but i'd say chicken boiled rice would be pretty healthy for you, anyway chinese foods not to bad for you its stuff like fish and chips, kebabs etc you wanna watch out for.
3 :
I always ask if they have brown instead of white rice- if not, stick to steamed rice and avoid fried rice. Get veggie stir fry's and see if they offer any steamed veggies and tofu. Get tofu or no meat just veggies. Ask for no MSG- a lot of times they don't tell you it's in there, but they don't mind keeping it out. Drink the tea- lots of antioxidants. I love Buddah's delight. Ask if they have low sodium soy sauce if you want that. Also, make it spicier if possible. It speeds up your metabolism, and could help you eat slower.
4 :
try to tell the truth no one believe, so the hell with it. none r good for ur health. next time check the sodium on the soy sauce they use on fried rice. that make rice turn dark, plus salt, msg and the grease monkey they use
5 :
consult a dietician

if cost is no concern, orijen is by far the best wellness and taste of the wild are solid alternatives. the kirkland signature is basically the same as diamond natural, but at a much better price (must be a costco member). avoid ingredients like corn and grains (brown rice is okay) and avoid beef pulp, which is the cause of a lot of allergic reactions. make sure the first several ingredients are meat. if you really want to cover your bases, adding wild salmon oil will increase brain function and skin condition, as well as adding missing link (don't get the missing link plus until the puppy is 1 year old) avoid iams, purina, pedigree, and science, all of these will do awful things to your dogs digestion and lead to health complications
2 :
This is something you can discuss with your vet at your first visit. Remember your dog is a carnivore and most dog foods are corn or other grain based instead of meat. Read the labels and educate yourself.
3 :
My dogs like Newman's Own. It costs more, but the money goes to animal shelters, and I trust the ingredients.
4 :
natures recipe is the best food. it has no preservatives or artificial flavors and digests well in their systems. when you go to the pet store (if you choose this one) ask them about this Nature's Recipe food because there's different types for different dogs. there is one that's for all dogs of all ages too. its at all pet stores like pet co and petsmart

As more people understand the importance of nutrition to their own health, they're starting to consider what's in their dog's food bowl as well. Food manufacturers are only too happy to oblige, and the latest products are likely to be labeled natural or organic, and include ingredients said to promote health, such as blueberries and salmon oil. That said, it can still be a challenge to sort out high-quality chow from the canine equivalent of junk food. http://dogtime.com/food-nutrition.html
7 :
I feed my dog Natures Balance - all natural I also mix in cooked chicken livers. This gives my dogs the need crunch to help keep teeth clean but also gives them the wet that they prefer. I do not feed my dogs any food that comes from a grocery store. There is a great deal of bi-products, meal and sugars in grocery brands that are not good for the dogs. I have 4 dogs 2 of which are pugs (litter mates) that in a 9 month period both were stricken with diabetes and the vet completely believes it was caused because of the grocery (cheap) brand dog foods that I had been feeding them. Using the chicken liver with the dry helps keep down the cost of the expensive natural dog foods, and it has no sugars.
8 :
Two key ingredients to stay away from are corn and by-products. Corn is basically used as a filler and is also a big allergen for pups. And by-products... well, as disgusting as this may sound... they can include the heads, feet and intestines. Because you are getting a bully pup and they are more prone to allergies and dry skin, I would also stay away from wheat. Nutro makes a great food. No corn. No by-products. No wheat in their Natural Choice line. Also has the highest levels of fatty acids (your Omega 3's and 6's), which will help keep your puppy's skin and coat healthy. In fact, Nutro is the only food that guarantees healthy skin and coat. With Nutro you will get a human grade food, none of the yucky stuff I mentioned above, a beautiful coat, less shedding, less clean up (which once this baby gets older I am sure you will enjoy), and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
9 :
I feed my guys canidae, but i hear taste of the wild and Ojgen are excellent foods. You want to feed your pup anything that has NO wheat or as little grain as possible. As natural as possible
