Should people that eat excess mounts of junk food be denied Social/Universal Health Care?
I think that in exchange for the Liberals that want to force Universal Health Care taxes upon us we should somehow be able to prohibit people that eat junk food from accessing it. In order to be eligible you shall NOT: - Smoke - Drink Alcohol - Consume Junk Food You force us and we force you. Deal?

I think Obama will just overtax anyone that consumes too much. Just like he plans to overtax energy companies, enough to make them go bankrupt. Seems plausible.

Even better, lets tax all of those things so that the economic incentives are properly aligned and the externalities are internalized. Most countries already do that with alcohol and tobacco. The tax revenue can help pay for treatment of obesity, lung cancer, heart disease, etc.

Liberals have already tried to sue fast-food companies over obesity because they don't believe adults are responsible for their own behavior. It's the same reason liberals were behind Prohibition and trying to ban rock and hip-hop and violent video games, as well as fighting against cigarettes. The liberal nanny state is a fascist state.

Let's also deny it to people who don't exercise, or who have risky jobs, or who live in polluted cities, or who drive fast, or who live in a dangerous neighborhood. Do you think it matters to the bacteria or viruses that people are infected with, whether or not you have better health habits than the person who doesn't, when you touch something they contaminated? Do you realize smog and air pollution from driving your car also compromises your immune system? Does it matter to a health care provider that loses money form people who can't afford to pay their bills, what your healthy habits are when they pass the cost onto you? You people are so stuck on the ME ME ME mentality, you are cutting your own throats.

Do you know what single-payer means? Nobody is touting "universal health care taxes" on anyone. Ok, but since you guys want to ban gay marriage, can we ban "crosses" from public? I don't want my kid to be indoctrinated with crosses. So nobody is allowed to wear or display a cross in public. fair is fair right? Here's a tip...read other books besides the "pop-up" books to gain an understanding of the world.

no one should be excluded but people should recognize things are just not good for you. There are a few ways to address this issue. We can handle it from the product side and start taxing companies that make junk food more for their products that are against the public as a whole. We can also make those who constantly consume these products pay more tax for what they spend. Now the later solution is more wrong but the first one makes more sense. If the public as a whole was to vote on whether or not they want to start eating food that is healthy and no longer want to buy foods that are junk, then this could be easily done. Companies would then have to change. However, I do think that everyone regardless should have access easily to health care even if it is universal. I think if you give the public food that is healthier but still tastes great, they will accept it with open arms but companies do not do that. And that is the reason for many things.
