If you really dont wanna mess with it find someone who has a membership to a big box store you can go with (costco, sams club,) you can get a giant tray of chicken wings and all kinds of other stuff, ready to go, and not too expensive!

fruit spread vegetable tray assorted nuts crackers & cheeses relish tray shrimp cocktail

Chips and salsa Olives Celery, carrots, cauliflower and other veggies, with a ranch dip. Tortilla Rollups: Flour tortillas, smear cream cheese, chopped onions, black olives and green chilis perhaps a thin slice of ham. Roll up and slice into 1/2 inch thick sections. Arrange on a plate. I warn you, these go fast. A variety of pickles. Some high end cheeses and crackers. Sliced Asian pear-apples with cashew butter to dip them in. (you need to dip the slices of the pear-apple or other apple in cold water with a few teaspoons of lemon juice, to keep them from browning. Fresh grapes, cherries, strawberries. Devilled eggs, always a favorite. Now, you've made me hungry.

You could cook all kinds of stuff you can take and make a cheese ball, that is real quick and easy to make. You can get some little smokies or use hot dogs just cut them up. but you can take the little smokies and bake them with bacon around them bake till bacon is done place on a tray and put tooth picks in them and serve. or take them and put them in a slow cooker and add bbq sauce till nice and hot can be left in and people can get as they like and use tooth picks to eat. there are lots of things to try and do. I hope this helps. http://www.msbierman.com

You can get food from places. Buy fried chicken from the grocery store, get a 6ft sub from subway (or comparable place near you), chips & dip, cut up fruit, cheese, bread (serve bread with a spinach dip, rye bread is best). Mini pigs in a blanket, sliders (you can buy them frozen at most grocery stores.) pizza rolls, mini tacos or taquitos.

Try a Costco platter. It is actually good, semi-healthy, easy and cheap to get. You can also get crab legs and shrimp from your local seafood restaurant where they can steam and season it for you. If there is a Giant in your area they will do it too. It will be fun to be slightly messy but fun because it it cause for celebration. You get great nutrition from fish to it's a plus. It is a blessing for you and your bro so have this moment and have fun!

There are a lot of good ideas here already, but here's one more: wraps. Get some big whole wheat tortillas, thin-sliced cheese, lettuce, salad dressing, and tomatoes (and if you want, some pastrami or ham or turkey). Layer the goods (not too thick) on a tortilla, sprinkle on a little salad dressing, roll it up, and cut it into a couple of pieces; secure them with a toothpick.

Get a big pork shoulder and make carnitas. Many recipes on line, and simple to make. Then you can buy little corn tortillas and wrap the pork up and eat it. Delicious
