4 :
unfortunely yes. take awayz are bad in general, so it maybe be an idea to try and make your own, or swap fried for boiled rice and veg dishes instead of chicken

Check out if they put MSG in it. The Chinese seem to well on it. Learn who to cook your own.

I don't believe there are any "bad" food, there are only bad life styles. Most Chinese are skinny, because they eat lean, and they don't drive cars. they use bikes. Chinese can gain some weight when they start driving. or eat food has lots of fat/oil. real Chinese food shouldn't have lots of oil/grease. go to 24 hours often, you can eat whatever you want. MSG is a nature element, just like sugar and salt. you can find MSG in lots of food, sea weed, tomatoes,......

Well, some of it contains MSG

its becuase u r eating the fried stuff if u just ate the chinese vegetables and white rice it would be better

It would be unhealthy with or without msg. It depends on what you eat. Something healthy that i can think of is steamed fish. Try that instead of fried food.

Food that comes from Chinese takeaways is bad for you if it is deep-fried, smothered in sauces, or prepared with too much salt. You can eat Chinese food three times a week and still be healthy, if you just stick to a few guidelines: -don't order anything deep-fried (too much fat) -avoid fried rice (it's day-old rice that's been re-cooked in chicken fat and soy sauce--not good for you) -don't order duck or those disgusting yellow noodles (both are oily beyond belief) -if brown rice is on the menu, choose that over white rice (more fiber and fewer calories) -order vegetarian dishes over meat dishes (even if they're both cooked in oil, tofu has a lot less calories than beef and chicken) -if steamed vegetables are offered, eat those (lots of vitamins and very few calories) -try the soups (most Chinese soups are delicious and fairly low in calories) And don't listen to the people who say that MSG is bad for you. If you have very high blood pressure, then you shouldn't eat a lot of salt, and that includes MSG. If you don't, there's no harm in eating MSG (some people claim to get headaches after eating it, but no studies actually show that there is a link between the two). So, you can enjoy your Chinese food, but don't overdo it, lol.

It's just a matter of making better choices: steamed plain rice over fried rice, more tofu & veggies over meats, more steamed & boiled dishes over deep-fried stuff etc. The chicken pieces in many American-Chinese chicken dishes are deep-fried first and then heavy sauces (with lots of salt & sugar) are added, very unhealthy. The best thing is to learn to cook your own Chinese food from authentic recipes, so you can control the amount of salt, sugar & oil used. For those people who tend to put on weight, often it's not just due to eating a particular type of food but their entire food intake is in question. Common culprits are love of junk food & fast food, pampering a sweet tooth, lots of unhealthy snacks between meals, lots of carbonated sweet drinks instead of water, love of deep-fried stuff, too much meat & saturated fats, avoidance of fruits & veggies, eating way too much and little to no exercise.

Chinese food in China is very healthy, but the things they call Chinese in America tend to be salty, greasy, and deep-fried. So yes, it's pretty bad for you. Try sticking to stir-fries and things with lots of vegetables. Seafood is fine, but avoid pork. Brown steamed rice is better than fried.

chinese food in general is not bad for your health. If you eat homemade one's without all that msg it's actually healthy in my opinion. Try to eat the food with more portions of veggies and greens instead of more meat. It'll balance out. Too much of any food is bad.

Not necessarily -- there are so many different styles and subcategories of Chinese food. However, fried rice noodles or chili chicken are definitely bad for your health. Stay away from greasy and spicy food. Chinese or otherwise, they're just unhealthy in general
