Is chocolate actually a health food


Is chocolate actually a health food?
I would like to know if chocolate is actually good for your body. Please give an honest answer and details!

Ive heard that it containts ingrediants that release endorphins in to the blood stream. Endorphins make you happy! In that sense chocolate is good for you.... however... All the sugar in chocolate makes you have such an energy burst (even if it doesnt actively show) that a while later you will get more depressed thant you were before you ate it. Its also full of fat and calories so its not so great for the heart and love handles! If you eat a little bit everynow and then its fine! No point denying youself something so delicious.. it just makes you crave it even more!

Chocolate is healthy for some, causes problems for others. The reason chocolate is generally unhealthy is the way it is produced. Hydrogenated fats are added to chocolate products to enhance the taste, texture and shelf life. Chocolate has caffeine which will give you a buzz, and also has many other natural chemicals which can give you an endorphin high, which really isn't dangerous or anything since endorphins are your own brain chemicals. Cocoa butter is of course pure fat, but its a vegetable fat and tastes great. Its not good for you in large quantities, but its better than eating a porkchop.

yes, in a way it is healthy, it is proven to help boost your brain, keeps up your blood sugar ( mainly it is dark chocolate that does the trick, ive seen it on the news just last year )

yes but it can become very unhealthy if you eat to much of it! It is GREAT if you can avoid it though because of all the SUGARS!

I heard about it. Dark chocolate is taken a time to be eaten. That I realized this dark one is not like the real MILK chocolate which I had used to eat quickly
