No one here can tell you the best dog food for your dog because we don't know your dog and your dogs needs. But we can suggest good brands. The brands I am about to suggest are some of the best on the market. They are very healthy because most if not all contain meat as the first ingredient, have no fillers such as corn and/or artificial dies. Many are grain free of have grain free lines. Not only will these foods benefit your dogs health but also your wallet. Because you may pay a little more for the food but the dog ultimately eats less than on a unhealthy food because its full of healthy stuff. So say you spend $30 dollars on a bag of premium food it could last you 1-2 months, not to mention you will most likely have less vet bills because your dog will be healthier. Here are some brands I suggest (most if not all will have a puppy formula) Wellness Evo Innova California Natural Merrick Orijen Acana Canidae Solid Gold Taste of the Wild Blue Buffalo And I'm sure there are others. NOw here are some brands you need to stay away from. Not all are listed but stay away from these and those similar. Purina (Yes this includes Beneful and other purina brands) Pedigree Iams Hills (Maker of Science Diet) Eukanuba Ol Roy Kibbles n Bits You do not want anything that uses corn as a filler. Does not have meat as the main ingredient. YOu do not want artificial dyes and chemicals in your dogs food. _-------- Here are the first 5 ingredients of each of the two foods I currently feed. First food (Merrick) Organic Chicken, Oatmeal, Barley, Chicken Meal, Whole Brown Rice 2nd Food (California Natural) Herring, Barley, Oatmeal, Herring Meal, Herring Oil I also feed Innova but don't have a bag on me at the time, was Trying CN on one of my dogs instead of the Innova
