What are some similarities and differences between Food Critics and Health Inspectors

What are some similarities and differences between Food Critics and Health Inspectors?
I know they are very different when it comes to judging food, but what are those differences and do they have anything else in common?

A food critic would be focusing on a few things like: the quality & origin of the ingredients used to create the meal, the overall taste, the overall visual presentation, quality of service, the value in pricing schemes, infomation on who cooked the food (the chef)...their previous food experience & work related history, comparisons & contrasts to other similar restaurants. They give you the "lowdown" on your entire dining experience at a given restaurant establishment. Conversely, a Health/Food Inspector ensures that the restaurant establishment is handling the food in accordance to the standards established by City/State Laws. They check things like: the cleanliness of the restaurant, the certification/food handlers permits of the staff, temperature readings of the freezers, the fridge and the "food holding areas" (like steam tables), they check for pest problems (ants, mice, roaches, rats), proper food storage facilities/proper temperatures/expiration dates on ingredients, etc... Health/Food Inspectors are not concerned about how the food tastes, how it is priced, where the chefs learned their culinary skills, how the food is presented. They focus on the overall risk to the health and safety of the patrons...preventing food borne illnesses. Hope this info helps.

They can both close a restaurant down overnight with the bad report
