Why do socialist want everyone to have all the guarantee, health care food and shelter

Why do socialist want everyone to have all the guarantee, health care food and shelter?
The things we gurantee prisoners, I want a lot more I don't want to work while the lazies don't but have everything I have because I work. We have those who do and those who don't, do you want to be the one to do for those who don't? All good American answers except of course the douche bag , but I think he's jut trying to live up to his miserable reputation. It's going to be tough.

horrible trolling; not even close edit- I take that back; wow, everyday I come on here the Libertardians seem to be stupider, welcome to the family!

Losers seek equality, winners seek independence.

Socialists would want guaranteed call girls if we let them get away with it.
4 :
The number of socialists in America is very small as most Americans don't want these things "guaranteed", but only more accessible to the vast majority of citizens.
5 :
Their losers, following what they believe to be the easiest road.
6 :
BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IN SOCIAL JUSTICE AND NOT IN INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
7 :
Because everyone should be able to live
8 :
Because they're too lazy to go out and provide for themselves. They'd rather sit back and blame rich people, republicans, Bush, etc. rather than get up and do something for themselves.

they want everyone to think, do, be as of one mind. Easier to control that way.

These are some of the basics of life. It's not a socialist or a communist thing. It's usually a sign of a civilized society when the basics are provided to those who can't provide them for themselves: children, the elderly, the infirm (sick or handicapped). Everyone else should have paid in (unemployment insurance, SSI, etc.) to receive them or have to work off their costs if they get them. Few of us want the U.S. to look like India where the poorest of the poor, the rag pickers, spend their miserable days crawling over heaps of steaming, stinking garbage. There's an ethical and moral problem with forced labor in the U.S. There's also a problem with liability. Since the U.S. has far too many lawyers and lawsuits it's too easy for someone doing mandated work in exchange for benefits to injure themselves and then file suit against the government (i.e. us). Working is not a choice. People are raised to have a work ethic. You work because there's something inside you that makes you want to work. Some people just aren't raised right. I have a nephew who's always been a well-cared for "boy" and, at 31 years old, he's still a boy who can't stay out of trouble, can't get a job and can't take care of himself without the help of family and government. I love him because he's family. I won't give him a nickel and hate that he's chosen to live off the work of others. I was raised to believe that you make your bed and then you lay in it. When I taught I always had a sign in the front of my classroom that said "Your failure to plan is not my emergency". I don't mind helping those that need it but it's difficult helping those who won't help themselves
