depending if the food is fresh,frozen or canned,eating food past the expirary date can cause food related illness,such as food poisoning.Bacterial related illnesses.Other foods which are canned,or frozen may have freezer burn,or be dry,bland and flavorless.Old rice produces toxins.Moldy bread is a hazard as well
